Three sisters
Meet the Castellows
Eleanor, Powell, and Lily Balkcom. Born of the same family, raised on the same farm, folded into one voice. That is us.
The sound
Where the harmony comes from
Four roots, braided into one voice. This is the soil the songs grow in.
Gospel
Church pews and Sunday mornings. The first place three voices learned to lean on one another.
Bluegrass
Banjo rolls and tight harmony. The backbone of how the songs are built.
Traditional country
Storytelling first. Songs about home, heartbreak, and the long way around.
The greats we cover
Levon Helm, Patty Loveless, even the Beatles. Roots worn proudly on the sleeve.
The name
We began as the Balkcom Sisters, singing covers from a farm in Georgetown. When the world started listening, we reached back into the family tree and took our great grandmother's maiden name, Castellow. It was a way to carry the people who came before us onto every stage we would ever play.
